Doctor Bill is an artist of many skills and talents, fitting perfectly with the eclectic sounds of Floyd. Bill knew he wanted to play guitar after hearing The Beatles, Hendrix, Cream, and Santana. He has shared his range of gifts with a number of bands for decades. A self taught musician, he has played with Bay Area groups such as Nightshade, Altair, and Fallon in the '70's; with progressive rock/fusion bands Albatross, Synopsis One and Chrome Dinette in the '80's. He also performed as the keyboardist, guitarist and musical director for the house band at the S.F. Club on Broadway's Jam Nights from 1997-2001. In addition to his work with House of Floyd he is currently recording with a two-man band Pyonko, playing anything from guitars and keyboards to bass guitar, pedal steel, mandolin, and computer programs. Bill is a man of few words, but he says it all onstage!
“Floyd created their own rules, their own sound, their own style. “Echoes” is still the masterpiece, in my book.” - Bill
